I would recommend you avoid Circus Circus if at all possible. Excalibur is okay, their "Fantasy Faire Midway" treats the little ones great, and their show "Tournament of Kings is appropriate for kids.

Circus Circus is probably the best. You will kill 2 birds with 1 stone. It's in a good location along the strip where you are right in the middle of the action and your kid will love the atmosphere of games and entertainment. Also, it is the cheapest of all the casinos on the strip ranging between $28-40 a night. You can't beat that deal and Circus Circus is just as nice as any of the casinos. Good luck and have fun!

Circus-Circus is probably the most popular for kids. Excalibur, Sahara, Stratosphere are some other options. Both Circus-Circus and Sahara are old, dinghy and need renovations bad. You heard correctly, choose wisely. Check out the websites below for more. Good luck.

Excalibur is not a bad hotel. I stayed there with a 4, 8,10, & 14 yr olds. They loved it especially the fact that it was a castle. Nice food court area with resonable options , McDonalds, Cold Stone Creamery, Krispy kreme. I found the rooms to be very nice for the price. Paid about $80 per night and had 2 rooms. My second choice would be Treasure Island. Kids like that whole pirate theme.

If you like a great themed resort, Luxor is a great choice since they are targetting the young but there are not many children. Make sure you book a Tower Room, not a pyramid room. However: Mandalay Bay is great (the theme is classic Asia at the turn of the 1900), but they are far South.... Great rooms, though... Paris Vegas is fantastic with regards to themes, but since you are English then you probably already know what a French village or Paris look like.. The same for Venetian, a great themed resort but you may already know Venice....:) Luxor is also close to MGM which is another 'favorites' amongst young people...

Circus Circus is great for children and it is not beat up.
Excalibur is great for children too.
Treasure Island is trying to change it's image from a very kid-friendly property to targeting young adults in the 20's and 30's.
The Orleans is also great for kids but it is off the strip.

yeah. circus circus is getting old. but the monte carlo hotel and casino is appropriate. they just finished remodeling and its really nice and not expensive. and they have great food and restaurants. and it has a great location near the middle of the strip and not far from the mgm grand where you could bring the child to see some lions (free)

"TI" or Treasure Island.
I would never stay there because I want to go and party and have a good time. TI is right next to the Mirage and its very family oriented...heck it has a pirate ship.
