My wife and I are very active and love working out, skiing, biking, and want a great nightlife and great restaurants. That is our thing---eating out when we can.

What do people think between these two choices? We have lived in Vegas for over 8 years, so I know the heat pretty well. But looking for a great town to settle down and really get the real estate careers going.

This summer, my friends and I plan to go to Hawaii for our senior trip. I will still be 17, and all my other friends will be 18. My mom is really persistent in wanting to know everything about me going as a minor. She can't even ask specific questions though :P

So what can you tell me that I'll need to have or whatever to be there safely and legally? Can I stay in a rental condo with my 18 year old friends?

p.s. I live in mainland U.S., so it is technically within the country traveling.

What is general opinion of University of Nevada - las vegas?
we know how princeton and harvard are viewed and Penn state too - but what is the overall opinion of University of Nevada - vegas? is it looked at as a joke? are they serious about academics as other schools.....i don't want my MA degree to be a joke!

Last time I went...we met this taxi driver who gave us vouchers for drinks....we ordered about 150 Coronas and only got charged for 40 of them thanks to the voucher....Does anybody know where I can get one? or somewhere we won't spend as much money on drink?

I'll be visiting Vegas in July for my bday w/friends and want to know the difference between staying at a hotel on the strip vs. downtown. I want to check out El Cortez hotel which is downtown or Tuscany Suites or the Flamingo which are strip hotels. What's the difference in the two? I've heard downtown Vegas is scary and dirty where as the strip can be bad but more tolerable than downtown. What's your opinion and have you stayed at any of these hotels?
