I am planning a float trip in missouri for around 20 people. I have been to the black river and wanted to go to another scenic river. The group I'm going with likes to party so we don't want a family oriented campground.

Love floating and Missouri has some great places. Um here are some that I have been to:
Huzzah river is nice there is a place there called the Zoo yep not family friendly ask for the party side quiet hours start at 2am but, um nobody pays any attention to that. You will always find college age people down there and there is always a party. Pretty good place sometimes the river can get a little low. Campground is wonderful!
You can also go to the Ozark Outdoor River Resort
http://ozarkoutdoors.net

Now they have a family side and a party side (which of course is away from the families) be sure to ask for the party side and tell them you all plan to party. You will float on the Merimac River. Good river always have a great time on it. Moves pretty good. The campgroud is great and there is a lot that they offer.

I would also recommend going on the Current River nice smooth ride. There are several campsite in the area, I haven't really stayed at too many of them but there are some websites below. Have a wonderful time!

Float Trips in Missouri? For organized trips, try the Ozark National Scenic Riverway, outside Van Buren. It's in the southeast corner of the state. Numerous canoe liveries and float companies offer programmed trips of 3, 4, 6 to overnight trips. There's both the Current River and the Jack's Fork available. If you're into roudiness, this may not be the river for you, especially on weekends when lot's of families arrive.

If you're into free form trips and have access to your own rafts and canoes, you might try the Missouri river through the middle of the state. Of course, there are always the lakes if all you want to do is float (you'll not go anywhere without a lot of work).

I am planning a float trip in missouri for around 20 people. I have been to the black river and wanted to go to another scenic river. The group I'm going with likes to party so we don't want a family oriented campground.
