We will be in Vegas with my children in June. My son (7) really wants to see a magic show. Are there any that are suitable for young children? I want it to be enjoyable for the adults as well. One more thing - has anyone been to the Tournament of Kings (Excalibur). What was that like?

I am taking ASL this semester and I feel a lot a bit behind. I'd like to meet people from the community, but I don't really know where to go.

I am in the process of moving to LA, but everyone that I talk to that is from the area always tell me LA is wayyyyyyyyyyy to expensive, or you have to have a degree, or be this, or have that...blah...I don't know if it's just the people I talk to, but it is almost like they are stuck up. I can say, I'm from a more upper class area than LA's top areas. I also have a degree in marketing from one of the top schools in the country, not to mention I have an amazing resume. Is this how most LA people are?

I'm trying to go to a community college in LA.
And I want to know if that's worth it. Also, can I choose a major I want after I get into one of the UCs.

I live in the Chicago suburbs and I hate it. I hate the weather and the hustle and bustle. the people can be cranky too. I have an aunt in Branson, MO that I visit a lot. I LOVE IT DOWN THERE! i came up with the idea of living there and now we're looking at a house right up the road from her. I'm just worried. This fall im starting high school. I love the school in chicago. All myfriends will be there and it offers a lot (and its fun). but i hate Chicago. If i move this summer (whick i would if i DID move) then id go to the school down in MIssouri. Its called Reeds Spring high School in reeds Spring, MO. I'm not sure about the school tho. i dont know anyone and i dont know what it offers. but i love the area. my aunt that lives there is my closest relative. And i do have friends there. But i have NO family in chicago. Im just not sure about the school in Missouri. If i do move, i want to be comfortable. How can i learn more about the skool so i can be comfortable about living there????

Im a 23 year old single male. I'm about to graduate from penn state with a bachelors degree in Information Sciences and Technology. I have been eyeing miami as a place to move and get a job, I have been looking for jobs there and i have found some good results in my field. Realisticaly, how much do you need to make a year to have a decent life down there, being single i would be looking for a 1 bedroom apartment, or something comparable. The closer i would live to the beach the better. Basically, i dont want to move there and be scrounging for pennies to pay my bills.

I was just wondering what I could do in Vegas if I'm under 21. I posted the same kind of question a while ago but I can't seem to find the answers and now that my trip is only 2 weeks away, I was in some desperate need of some hot spots to go. Thanks!

We are visiting for the first time in April and are staying at the Rennaissance Hotel in Hollywood. I have read mixed reports on the area and would like to get some real advice. We wanted to do some sight seeing like the Universal Studios, Mullholland Drive, Rodeo Drive and maybe a couple of Stars Homes. Also I would like to go down to Venice Beach for a few hours. Obviously we dont know how far away these places are and would be prepared to take a taxi. If the area is bad then it would be good to do our sightseeing during the day and then get back in evening in plenty of time to eat locally without us being unsafe. Can anyone help?

I live in California and I would love to move. It is very expensive here. A 2 bedroom rental is about $1500 while an average 3 bedroom home costs about $800,000. I have looked at many places and been to many different states, but now I am looking for some other opinions of places worth looking into. If you think you know of a good area please tell me where it is so I can research it myself to see if it is a good place for me. I am looking for:
-a place that has all four seasons
-reasonable cost for housing, both rental and buying (reasonable would be somewhere that less than 50% of your income goes towards housing)
-decent job market (retail drug stores, hospitals, clinics and such where I can work as a pharmacy technician)
-nice scenery (not flat land-somewhere with mountains or rolling hills)
-friendly people
-a major airport within a 2 hour drive
-no tornados or hurricanes (at least with an earthquake your house remains in the same location and it is over in 30 seconds)

If you've traveled there, why? It sucks there there is nothing fun to do there, the only thing that they have are outrageously priced restuants, hotel, and everything is way overpriced. It's a waste of time and money.
And if you moved there recently, why in the hell did you do that? the homes are way over priced for really small crappy houses, the prices of home here are the same prices of massive homes anywhere else in the country. the town sucks to live in especially if you have kids the tourists are annoying as hell (all offense possible to the tourists).
I don't get why anybody would want to go to healdsburg for a vacation or move there, either way it costs you an arm and a leg. Maybe you guys can shed some light on this for me...
