Kirkland is near Seattle and it is a very nice and safe environment for a child to live in! Also Issiquah, it is a little father out of Seattle(30 minutes) but it is very worth it and the safe enviroment for your child! Hope this helps!

I agree that Kirkland and the eastside are generally safe neighborhoods and good places to raise a child. You might also check out north Seattle like shoreline or Ballard or Bothell on the eastside.

Another vote for Kirkland! Its not in Seattle, but it's close. It's really calm there, and the (cute, little) downtown is on a big lake. It's kind of expensive to live there, but you get what you pay for, for sure.

I'd say that almost all of Seattle is safe, relative to most other cities of this size. Queen Anne, Montlake, and Wallingford are close to the city center and do not have any sketchy-sketch.

Probably Magnolia, Ballard, Kirkland.

You can check out the crime statistics provided by the city government of Seattle.
