If you've traveled there, why? It sucks there there is nothing fun to do there, the only thing that they have are outrageously priced restuants, hotel, and everything is way overpriced. It's a waste of time and money.
And if you moved there recently, why in the hell did you do that? the homes are way over priced for really small crappy houses, the prices of home here are the same prices of massive homes anywhere else in the country. the town sucks to live in especially if you have kids the tourists are annoying as hell (all offense possible to the tourists).
I don't get why anybody would want to go to healdsburg for a vacation or move there, either way it costs you an arm and a leg. Maybe you guys can shed some light on this for me...

Mendo, now that you have that off your chest, I hope you feel better. I too like to vent occasionally.
I've never been to Healdsburg (unless I passed through without realising it - very possible from your description)

I just looked up the city's website and yes indeed I have driven right up Highway 101. Still I don't recall it.
But much of Sonoma County is quite beautiful.
Mendo, don't you like wine?
Anyway, thank you for the rant, I love to look up places; it's the very reason I answered this!

In case you ever feel like a trip down Memory Lane (the city's Visitor's Bureau/Chamber of Commerce website):

I gather you're a young adult who lives here and you've become disillusioned about the town. That is how most young adults feel about the place they grew up, so you're not alone.

Adding tourists to the normal frustration young folks feel about their community might leave anybody just as irritated as you are. Not only are you bored by the place, but it costs a fortune and is overcrowded by all the tourists. Plus, California is an expensive place to live.

But, think about the climate, the accessibility of gorgeous recreation and travel, the great educational and job opportunities, maybe not right there, but throughout California, and you'll see the attraction. Maybe, when you're raising kids of your own, you'll even want to come back. A lot of people find themselves drawn to the town of their childhoods when they want to provide a great home for their children.

Good luck.
