The Tournament of Kings is great fun for the whole family, They serve you a dinner fit for a "King" Medieval style, it's great. You can purchase the tickets ahead of time. 1-702-597-7600 >Very rarely do I suggest getting tickets as close to the "stage" as possible but in this case, if you can get seats in the center section as close to the action as possible they are the best seats. The Arena is in a horseshoe shape, you want tickets on one side or the other not on the end.
Like someone said, Mac King is a very-very good show. He does combine comedy and magic but it's all good clean family fun. Tickets are only $7.95 with the coupon available at the booth located in the carnival court next to Harrah's
Rick Thomas has a good show, the white tigers alone are worth the admission price
Dirk Arthur's show is a little better IMHO and he also uses white tigers - and 2-4-1 coupons for his show are usually in the free LV magazines in your room or in the hotel gift shop
Lance Burton has the best show but then again his tickets cost $70-$80 - It's like Siegfried and Roy's old show, you have to see it once but at $100 a pop(years ago) Once was enough. You can take the whole family to dinner and see Dirk Arthur for $100 easy.
Nathan Burton on the other hand puts on a cute afternoon show at the Aladdin and it's very affordable - adults $30 - Kids $15
for a list of all the shows, prices, times, ratings, etc

this site also has great info on LV, buffets, free hotel shuttles, meal deals, etc

Lance Burton is possibly the best magician in Las Vegas for families. I took my two sons (ages 8 & 10) to see him last year and they had a fantastic time. Lance Burton even brings children up on stage as part of his act a couple of times per show. He's extremely friendly and really knows how to work with children. His show is held at the Monte Carlo. Get your tickets early as his show is extremely popular.
As for Rick Thomas that others have mentioned, I know very little about him so I can't provide you any advice with him. I can however tell you that Siegfried & Roy are not currently playing anywhere in Vegas. Their show at the Mirage was closed indefinitely during a live show in October 2003 where one of their white tigers mauled Roy Horn.
You can find tickets to Lance Burton on the Monte Carlo website.
I don't know about the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. Sorry I can't help you there.
Have fun!

A recent poll of professional magicians recently rated the two top Vegas magic shows as Penn & Teller's and Mac King's.
I saw Mac's show a couple months ago and it was hilarious and fantastic! The price is good, and down by the M&M World place they were giving out coupons for 2 free tickets!
Mac also signs things after the show and poses for photos.
By the way- he also has a website- http://www.mackingshow.com/

The Mac King show combines magic and comedy. It is top rated and inexpensive. It is also totally kid-friendly. Both kids and adults will enjoy. BTW, it's an afternoon show.
I saw the Tournament of Kings years ago and thought it was very boring. Your 7-year old might be OK with it though.

Go with Rick Thomas, Segfried and Roy, sure they are the biggest , and it will also take a bigger chunk out of your wallet. If you are on a budget, Rick Thomas show is great for 24.00 The Segfried and Roy will cost you probably triple that!!

I would think that Siegfried & Roy are family-friendly--with the animals and all.
