If you've traveled there, why? It sucks there there is nothing fun to do there, the only thing that they have are outrageously priced restuants, hotel, and everything is way overpriced. It's a waste of time and money.
And if you moved there recently, why in the hell did you do that? the homes are way over priced for really small crappy houses, the prices of home here are the same prices of massive homes anywhere else in the country. the town sucks to live in especially if you have kids the tourists are annoying as hell (all offense possible to the tourists).
I don't get why anybody would want to go to healdsburg for a vacation or move there, either way it costs you an arm and a leg. Maybe you guys can shed some light on this for me...

Healdsburg is a beautiful, but yes, of course, there's not a lot of trendy happenings. A commute to Santa Rosa won't turn up a lot more either, but probably something more to your taste.

I've always enjoyed visiting Healdsburg. It is a town that has retained its historic heritage instead of turning into a suburban wasteland. The central business district around the town plaza is nice. The area along the Russian River is nice and has vacation homes and the surrounding environs are pretty and rural.
You obviously should get the hell out of there if you live there or just forget about the town completely.

You expecting an answer or just blowing off steam?

It is on 101 and within range of Santa Rosa, it's out of the big city, if you aren't city folks. I've mostly just driven through it on the way to Willits where the main industry, which you can smell in the center of town at certain times of year, appears to be pot growing.

Why did people end up there? Because they could afford a house! If you think that is expensive then try somewhere closer to where the work is.

California could do with a massive quake to reset the property market to something real people can actually afford.

two words for you and you rant...wine country. Healdsburg is kind of in the middle of the entire Sonoma County wine industry. It is the thing right now if you are from the bay area, to buy a lovely little weekend getaway in the country. After 9/11 people stopped wanting to fly places. So they have been coming up to the north bay to napa and sonoma counties by the droves to buy weekend getaways.

Healdsburg is a cute town. nice downtown vibe, great restaurants, but i seriously could not live like 70 miles from an airport. I personally prefer Napa, but that's only because I live here.

If i had my pick of the bay area, I would more back to the east bay to walnut creek, but then houses and cost of living is pretty much the same. It is the SF bay area. everyhing is that way.

get over it.
