I lived in Orange County, California in 1984-1987. Actually it was much cleaner than LA. I remember NYC was the dirtiest city I've been to in America. I went to Fairfax County and Arlington, VA and they were splendid and very clean.

Now then, I've always been told that Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia were much cleaner than America; in general of course. I later read that Canada was cleaner than America...my question is: Are there cities in America that are cleaner than the abovementioned countries? Are there places in America cleaner than the cleanest cities in Europe? If yes, then where are they located?

I do beleive that New England, Minnesota or Washington State could be very very clean...but cleaner than Europe and Canada?

Can't afford the amounting taxes here & the possiblity of the town becoming a "city". Population is around 31,000. Looking for something rural for my family in the future. People I know are "transplanting" down south. Its not all that easy you know. Can anyone help me with ideas about making the best out of living in this state? I am thinking about Litchfield (Watertown) area due to work. Can Not afford to live in Fairfield County. Thank you everyone.

Hi! I plan to go to NYC soon for my internship in Manhattan...Would you know of any room for rent or maybe a hostel or dorm or any accomodation that is just reasonable in price? How much? My internship is near the Union Square. What's the safe place in NY? Where are the areas that I have to avoid?

Are Most Asian girls/women in The USA and Canada were brought
here by the mafia for prositution?
i hope not most of them, dont mean to be a stereotype, sorry just currious

Vietnamese and Chinese mafia are increasing operations in brothels in Toronto, Canada. They traffic in women from Southeast Asia. Agents pay recruiters up to $8,000 for a woman, who then sell the women to pimps for about $15,000. Agents take 10% of the earnings beyond the original contract. The women are forced to service buyers' 12 hours a day, 400 buyers or $400,000 to pay off their debt.

About twelve 16-30-year-old Asian girls and women were trafficked into Canada each week on visitor's permits and sold into prostitution. The girls and women were bought in North America for up to $15,000 by a network that made about U.S. $1. 4 - $2.2 million annually. The women are sold to brothel owners in Markham and Scarborough Toronto and Los Angeles and forced into $40,000 debt bondage.

I'm curious about the service quality. Switching away from a major carrier network makes me a little nervous. How would you rate the service in Southern California?

Really feeling motivated to live in Alaska for awhile. Other than normal route of regularly applying for work, you have any other suggestions?
Have you ever lived/worked there?
I'm especially interested in working at a remote resort, maybe waitressing or housekeeping, but would also consider fish processing if that's all I could find.

Thanks
