Where is a good beach spot to visit in Florida? Please help!!!?

We will be going for a week in July. My boyfriend and I are going, so I want something romantic and on the beach. Key West???
I have no idea here...

If you're in the Tampa/St. Pete area...

Ft. Desoto is a really nice beach. If you have a boat you may want to try some of the Islands North of Clearwater like Honeymoon Island (a little too rocky but you can get there by car), Caladesi Island (pretty nice and there's a boat that'll take you there from Honeymoon Island), or Anclote Key (gotta have your own boat).

*Anclote Key is my favorite island beach
*Ft. Desoto is the nicest public beach
*Sand Key is beautiful and there are some really nice hotels around there.

The best is Siesta Key Florida, in Sarasota
The beach is second to none. Also, prices are lower, crowds are kept down most of the year, and there is still plenty to do. They have the famous white sand beachs and it never gets hot to walk on and feels like you are walking on powder. After having lived in Florida for years, I can also tell you that the weather is generally better in that part of Florida then on the east coast, since they get less Atlantic Ocean induced rain showers. Which can easily ruin a day at the beach

If you are looking for rocking nightlife and the hip party scene you should hit Miami Beach of course.

If you want to go somewhere nice I suggest New Smyrna Beach it's beautiful and there is a ton to do around the area, it's also only 20 minutes away from daytona beach, malls movie theaters clubs nice resturants....etc
