I might go there to visit some friends, but I don't know if there is any public tranportation, or if it easy to get around?

take caltrain from mtn. view station to the city

its only ten mintues from cupertino on 85 to evelyn

and the trains an hour

it is about an 1 hr plus, depending on time of day, since there is of course more traffic in the a.m.(betwwen 7:30a-9a) and afternoon around 4p-7:30p.. I don't think the train stops near by cupertino, only SJ stops.. Your best way is too travel by car, on hwy 280, which has lesser problem with traffic, then hwy 101...

there are trains that go from the suburbs to san francisco.
i had a car and the traffic was terrible.
it would take me almost an hour to get to san fran from
cupertino, and not even during rush hour.
i never tried the trains - the stations were not close to
where i was staying.
