We're going to NY for my first trip as well - a quick 3 day trip. On the list - ground Zero, Yankee Stadium, Central Park, the Today Show, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building. Too much in three days, or do you have more recommendations?

I will be transferred to Boston from Asia due to a job relocation. Is there a Japnese Gorcery/bookstore?
I am moving to Boston due to job relocation, I've been to Boston once many years ago. I really enjoyed Bostn and I am happy to be back again. I would be greatly apprecite it if any one can tell me if there is Japanese Grocery store, bookstore and any good Japnese or Asian restaurants around town within 50 miles.

I also would like some tips on driving around town (people tend to drive fast here, right?and I have not driven for a while) or just about anything tips on living in Boston will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you everyone in advance for your help.

We tried getting into Marquee, Bungalow 8 and Pink Pigs (i think)...all of it were reservations only...and with a VIP list...unless I'm ready to shed $800!

Im not from New York hence could you tell me if that's really how it is.

Hi, there. The husband and I are considering moving there (taking a vacation to see it in a few days). Did online research & checked census stats, but want the insiders' view. Currently we live in Florida ("Like hell, only hotter"). Please advise re:

1. Cost of living/housing (i.e. can you afford a house in non-cracktown, on an average salary?)

2. Traffic/avg commutes

3. Weather (do you like it?)

4. Is it pretentious, or are the people laid back?

5. Raising families- best places?

6. To-Do: Museums, music (yeah, it's the indy capital, but what about the symphony?), what do you do every weekend?

7. Is it already totally unaffordable b/c of influx of people from Seattle & CA?

8. Pros.

9. Cons.

10. Anything else you have to say about it (I'm very interested in the bad points, though - good things aren't usually something to worry about).

Thanks!!!!!

We're going to be at Disney World from the 9th to the 18th of October, which includes one weekend. I know it's a quieter time of year there overall, but I'm told the weekends are still very busy. Which park would be best for visiting on the weekend? My kids have suggested Typhoon Lagoon on the Saturday and Epcot on the Sunday, or vice versa, because Magic Kingdom, MGM and Animal Kingdom will all be crazy busy on the weekend. Any thoughts or advice on this topic??

I've heard of bus trips where you pay $x but you also get $x in chips for a particular casino.

I know you love the State you live in but aside from that which US State (or city) impresses you as the "most livable" in terms of clean environment (smog-free, starry nights), great academic institutions, excellent transport infrastructure and public amenities, low-crime rate etc. Help me out guys...
