Yes - read below or go to the website.

Under U.S. government rules, smoking is prohibited on all domestic scheduled-service flights except for flights over six hours to or from Alaska or Hawaii. This ban applies to domestic segments of international flights, on both U.S. and foreign airlines (e.g., the Chicago / New York leg of a flight that operates Chicago/ New York / London). The ban does not apply to nonstop international flights, even during the time that they are in U.S. airspace (e.g., a Chicago / London flight). The prohibition applies in the passenger cabin and lavatories, but not in the cockpit. Smoking is also banned on other scheduled-service flights by U.S. airlines that are operated with planes seating fewer than 30 passengers (e.g., certain "commuter" flights to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean). Cigar and pipe smoking is banned on all U.S.-carrier flights (scheduled and charter, domestic and international). The following rules apply to U.S. airlines on flights where smoking is not banned (e.g. international flights, domestic charter flights). These regulations do not apply to foreign airlines; however, most of them provide non-smoking sections (although they may not guarantee seating there or expand the section).

No honey I'm affraid not they can't send the fire brigade up in the sky just incase the air craft catches fire you see.
what if the flight your on has smoke alarms and they all kick off when you smoking on board and the beeper goes off on the land base station assigned to that air craft, what would happen they would be meham and no one would know how to reach your airline once in the air, think about it.best is take them necorite chewing gum on board with you never know you could stop smoking by the time you reach the other end of the flight there.good luck.

No. Smoking is not allowed on any flights anywhere.
I use a Nicorette inhalator, a plastic device into which you insert a nicotine cartridge. It's just like smoking a cigarette and works a treat. I smoke 40 cigarettes a day and by using the inhalator I've not wrecked a plane yet........

Yes, I believe you can still smoke on the Russian airline Aeroflot. Seeing as probably 99% of Russians smoke would be bad for business if they stopped it.

Think Richard Reid 'the shoe bomber' was smoking on a BA flight once... on no, that was just his laces! ha ha

No. Better prepare yourself now. Nicotine patches, gum, or whatever alleviates it for you. Or go cold turkey - it worked for me.
