You would need to submit an application with Immigration Services and see how many points you qualify for, same process as most other countries. At 35, I would do it now because points go down after 35. If you can find a company that is willing to offer you a job first OR if you have a good education and desirable skills, you will get extra points. If you go to the immigration website, there is probably a preliminary form you can fill out to see how you might do. You could try for a work visa only to start and see if you meet Mr. Right too :-)

As for the Maple Leaf bridgade (Ms Canada), Americans are not against immigrants. We are against ILLEGAL immigrants, otherwise known as the Mexican invasion. People for Mexico have no greater right to become citizens than people from any other nation and should apply just like everyone else has to, not just break the law by rushing the border then spend the rest of their lazy, law breaking lifes sponging off our welfare system and destroying our schools with their disrespectful and ignorant attitudes and behaviors. -- Here's an idea, instead of a fence how about we send them all to Canada.

There are a couple of ways that you can emigrate to the USA. One is a relative or resident with a green card making an application for you. If this is not possible you can see if you fall under a category that would let you come and work here or try the visa lottery, You can find out about the different categories and the requirement at www.ins.gov Good luck.

Come to Canada instead! The USA is nice, granted, and there are some nice people there but the government is worse than here in Canada. I know because I live in Canada and am also a USA citizen. I was born in Texas.

Right now the USA hates anyone who wishes to immigrate to the USA and just approved a bill to build a fence all along the USA - Mexico border. I am sure that they will soon want to build one between the USA and Canada!

Canada has its problems too...we are not perfect here but we do accept and look for people to immigrate here. If you want to go to the west coast, go to British Columbia. There is also good work available if you have a good education.

The USA is NOT the land of dreams as so many who want to immigrate there believe. Canada isn't all snow and ice either!
