Hello, what is the best way from the Central US (Iowa) to southern California?

Should I go through Colorado/Utah/Nevada/California?

Or should I go through Iowa/Kansas/New Mexico/Arizona/California?

I realize there are more pros in going the Colorado route, because of Denver and Las Vegas. However, I just want to go the safest and easiest route to my destination.

Here are two cons I can think of. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Colorado route: I am told it is mountainous (steep cliffs, dangerous bends). I have never been to Colorado, but I have been through the mountains and didn't feel very comfortable. Is it really dangerous? Going the main route, could I really fall off a steep cliff?

New Mexico route: I am told in the summer the temperatures reach upwards of 127 degrees. Even the best air conditioner can't keep a car cool and since I am driving with a pet, that wouldn't be suitable.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jessica

I'm 17 and I was thinking of going to Las Vegas for my Senior Trip. Is it worth it or is it just casinos and things for people over 21?

Aren't cities supposed to not be made fun of by comedians, as unlike people who are public figures, all the people who live in these cities don't ask to be ridiculed. At least that's what someone on the news said one time.

I've done 2 character Dining meals and I've come to notice that the characters dress differently depending on the theme of the restaurant. Is that correct?
I've been to Cape May's and the characters sort of dress in beach attire and I've been to Chef Mickey's and they sort of dress like chefs.
Is it like that at all Character Dining places? Like do they have different outfits for different restaurants?
Also, one more question:
This is in regards to Liberty Tree Tavern.
I've read info on Liberty Tree tavern and on info it says Meals served Family Style.
What does that mean?
My mom seems to think that it means you sit at a huge table with a large group of people that you may not know and pass around food, like Thanksgiving at your home.
Is my mom right?

Sorry for all the questions, i just don't understand.

I'm going to New Orleans next spring from May 17 - May 21, what is the weather usually like? And how should I dress? Lists are always nice. Part of the time I will be at a convention but I may be going out a bit.

[I'll of course only be going provided it doesn't have it's *** kicked by another hurricane.]

Some buddies and I are going to do a Bachlor Party in San Diego. None of us are from there, so this is all new. I am looking for cool things to do, maybe on the extreme side. It can be anywhere in that vacinity of about 200 miles, we don't mind going to the action. I am thinking like wild stuff and not the same ol same ol like strip clubs and things. Any suggestions on cool places and cool things?

My boyfriend and I are both 20 (we won't be 21 until November) and we want to go somewhere for two nights (July 21st and 22nd). It's our first vacation together in our 2.5 years of going out but every hotel or motel we've looked at says it doesn't take reservations from anyone under 21. We were originally planning on Virginia Beach, but everywhere I e-mailed or checked their website (about 30 places) said we had to be 21. I know Wildwood, NJ has "senior week" and stuff and takes reservations from anyone over 18, but is that only during prom season? I e-mailed another 10 or 15 places in Wildwood about 4 days ago and NOBODY has gotten back to me yet.

Do you know of any decent hotels near a beach that accept reservations from people under 21? We don't want to drag a 21 year old friend out with us just to get the room for us, they all have work or other commitments.

We live right outside Philadelphia if that helps. And we're looking to spend under $130 or so per night if possible.
