November is a good time but the weather can be unpredictable. For example, In October, we had a heatwave up until Halloween then it cooled down to the 60's. Then it would heat up again in the last week of December. I was visiting Minnesota on New Year's Eve at it was 15 degrees in St. Paul. My mom said it was 80 degrees in the beach in So Cal.
Then some year it can be downright cold and raining. Yes it does rain here in So Cal! The weather can get to 50's which isn't cold for some but its cold for us!
The day light goes down earlier so there's limited things to go in the winter. Touristy areas close earlier, like Universal and Disneyland closes at 7 or 8 pm.
If you come during thanksgiving, the touristy places open longer but it still gets dark earlier.

Nov can be great, we have had many Thanksgivings where it was 90 outside, pretty hot to cook a turkey. You can get good and bad weather all year, Jan can be in the 80's or raining. Be prepared for anything.``````````````````

L. A. is pretty much the same all year long. There's not too much change of seasons there, but there are fewer tourists there during November. However, it is SOOOO populated, that you have to remember you'll be sitting on the freeways for hours if you intend to drive anywhere.

For the most part it should be just fine... it could rain--but really it could rain in July. It's more than likely the weather will be pretty good and it might be cheaper to do all of the touristy stuff.

You might want to avoid coming around Thanksgiving. Other than that it all depends upon what kind of stuff you want to do.
If you want to lay out on the beach than you'd likely be dissapointed because it won't be beach weather. If you don't want to go to the beach then I don't see a problem.

November would actually BE pretty good. We *Might* actually have the tiniest hint of fall in the air by then -- as much as we get, anyway -- eaning the temperature is cooled off and comfortable.

Not too bad, but December is a total zoo as everyone seems to be there (Rose Bowl and the Pasadena Parade)

I live in Southern California, and I prefer the autumn and winter here to summer.
