Ok, so my boyfriend from Japan is coming to visit me this August. He bought his ticket some months ago and was not able to reserve his seat ahead of time (dunno why). Now when he called the travel agent, the agent said that all the seats were occupied on the online map, but that he'd be guaranteed a seat at check-in. How is this possible?
This is a flight from Osaka-Kansai to San Francisco. Is he on Stand-by or what? Any experienced airport employees know?
Is it possible they may bump him to business class or something? I just want him to arrive so I can see him...
BTW that's the ONLY flight departing to San Francisco.

i will be traveling to europe in the next couple of weeks and i havent recieved it. i understand the big demand of passports but i went to apply in april and i havent recieved it. soo....i went online and i read that americans under 16 can travel outside but with proof of citizenship. soo...i went to the embassy websites and requirements and it says that u need a passport...nothing about what the national passport website said! i dont understand! ive called the embassies but theyre all busy and cant get hold of them or the national passport information center!

How can I go about getting a passport? I want to travel to the UK sometime this December and would like to try and get it done fairly soon. As well, can anyone help with getting a visa (a regular one that allows me to work, as well as how to get a student one also since I'm planning to travel abroad next year). I want to go on a vacation with 3 or 4 friends and my mom for my birthday. I'm only turning 15 but it is like my sweet sixteen, you know? I live in vegas. I need somewhere cheap but totally exotic and you know fun to say that you are going there, and fun to actally go there. I don't want it to be in the US. Where could we go for about 4 days, 3 nights this November and spend about $5,000 total through $6,000 (but 5 tho is better).

maybe 5 people total, possibly six, if i bring 4 friends. Any good or great ideas? Please make this specific, not a country or a continent.
