Travel (General) - July 2007

What I am looking for is a walking route from London,England, to Jerusalem in Israel. The reason is quite simple, I want to explore the possibility of doing just that. I know it was done as a pilgramige and I am also interested to see some of those routes too. Any information is helpful, although I would appreciate negative problems not to be included, just the possibles or how to do`s,maps and any other thoughts of a posative nature, thanks

My fiancee and I are going to be taking our first vacation on a Amtrak from Chicago to Oregon. Ive never traveled on a Amtrak or a plane so Im very new to this. What should I take with me? I know you allowed 2 carry on bags. Is bringing your own food allowed? makes for a cheaper ride!
How about alchol? can you bring on your own? Any help would be greatly aprreciated! Thanks

I used to love going to Vegas and have been there many times in the past. However, I hadn't been for a few years and went back recently and it seems to have changed for the worse.

All the slots are now electronic, supposedly for OUR benefit and speedier play, but who wants to haul a bunch of tickets around. I miss my big cup of dollars and the way it sounds when those puppies came flying out of the slot.

It also seemed like the food and drink specials weren't as abundant as they used to be and the The Hotel wasn't that cheap either like in the past.

Has anyone else noticed this or am I imagining it?

I've been travelling on planes since I was seven. I'm thirteen now and am travelling to Arizona by myself for the first time. I'm afraid of some creep sitting next to me, becuase it is open seating, but I've been told to stay close to the attendents and tell them if I don't know where to go. Okay, I live in Tennessee and ofcourse I get stuck with the worst accent I think is out there! And I was looking for A way to pick up another accent. I can do A british one but I was hoping for A way to do A accent like people in Newark, New Jersey. I mean come on people work with me here, In Tennessee I've noticed that instead of people saying pants they say paints, or stamps staymps, and wash is worsh. It's driving me mad!!!! i researched and saw that i can bring my straightner into the plane but i have to have it in a 3 oz. container.
