What I am looking for is a walking route from London,England, to Jerusalem in Israel. The reason is quite simple, I want to explore the possibility of doing just that. I know it was done as a pilgramige and I am also interested to see some of those routes too. Any information is helpful, although I would appreciate negative problems not to be included, just the possibles or how to do`s,maps and any other thoughts of a posative nature, thanks

Due to first two answers, Posative replies please, and the ferry to mainland Europe is a given, sorry not to have included that tiny detail.

England, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel.

Although you might have a problem getting over the South Lebanon Border into Israel, and might have to take a Ferry from Beirut Lebanon to Cyprus, then a boat to Israel.

Many of the pilgrimage routes took boats by stages through the med' from Italy.

You may have to include swimming in that too then lol!

Em.... get the aeroplane to Israel and then do the pilgrimage around Israel...wouldn't that be better...??

Anyway go to about.com look up Travel to Israel.. for more help & guidance.

PS: I've been to Israel and you will be overwhelmed it is the most beautiful country in the world and don't believe all the propaganda about war.. when you go there it is soooo lovely obviously a lil' threat to danger but we have that in London just going on the tube is a daily threat...

so...

Have a gr8 time..

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but unless you can walk on water, you are not walking from London to Jerusalem. You can walk to a ferry, take the ferry to France then walk. But you can walk straight through
