New Zealand is pretty safe I think. There isn't much crime because of the low population

O.K., for traveling, it all depends: Mexico is OK if you are in a tourist group. On your own, Spain, France, England, Germany, basically all of Europe. I have never traveled in Japan, but one of my brothers married a Japanese; he had no problems in Japan. The Philippines is alright, but avoid demonstrations, should the occur, and stay away from the Moros in the south. Korea is also OK, but, again, avoid the demonstrators, if any. Israel is also "safe", but avoid the Banks, etc.
The most important thing is you: if you are an "abrassive" type person, any place can be bad. Some people are the type that can go just about anywhere and never step on toes. That's what you need to do.
Have a good trip!

There are many options such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Western Europe, Argentina, Chile, Hong Kong, South Africa. I had a lot of fun in Iceland. During October there's a really cool music festival, they also have day trips to Greenland and if you're lucky you can see the Northern Lights.

Nashua, New Hampshire, but there's not much to see, LOL! You can travel most of europe safely. Just keep your wits about you like you would in any US city. People like us there, just not our government.
You can always travel the US if you don't want to go overseas. There are lots of wonderful places to visit everywhere in the US.

Do no listen to anybody else and check out the governments opinion on were it is safe to go. Below is the link to their consular sheets on every country, including travel warnings, crime and even road safety. Example: the Philippines has a travel warning for American citizens not to travel there unless absolutely necessary.

Specific travel warning for the Philippines:

Philippines, Western Europe. I would say they are safe, but no one really wants US Americans around. They think the world surrounds around them, but most of the world realizes it doesn't.
