One of my friends just got back from Brazil. She was on a study abroad trip for college and she came back just fine. She drank the bottled water and watched what she ate and she's fine.

I haven't been to Sao Paulo but Rio is like any other city. There are good sections and bad sections. Let your taxi drivers keep you informed and the hotels will help as well. I loved Rio. Great food and booze and pretty girls on the beaches. Get some advise on the currency situation. We changed almost all of our money through the black market and saved big time.

If I see any gringo drinking "bottle water" here I'll give a shot in his head. Drink our water and you'll be ok, bunch of ignorants.

I remember a Swiss guy that I met here in Brazil, he wanted to drink bottle water, we made him drink our water, obviously nothing happened to him.

STOP BEEING IGNORANT AND PREJUDICIAL!
