You said interesting... not necessarily exciting.

Boston, MA
Ride the subway, the incredible variety of antique architecture, the seafood, the accent, the Big Dig, the harbor cruises, the harbor islands.

Provincetown, MA
sleepy fishing town on the tip of Cape Cod becomes a HUGE Gay Curcuit Party destination. Insane. Just insane.

Cape Canaveral, FL.
BLAST-OFF!!!

Miami Beach, FL
The beach, the architecture, the people-watching, the Cuban music and food smells everywhere.

Old Man in the Mountain... New Hampshire.
(Rock formation that resembled a guys profile. Created by glaciers. Fell off the side of the mountain a couple of years ).

Mt St Helens, WA
You drive thru a THICK forest and all of a sudden there are NO standing trees for miles. The are all blown down in the same direction. Really creepy. Everything standing was charred. The steam is still active from the top of the volcano.

Seashore Trolly Museum.
Kennebunkport, ME... If you like trolleys.

Mt Rushmore, SD

Wall Drug, SD
A tourist trap. Very fun with all their tacky exhibits. A must visit.

Corn Palace. Mitchell, SD
Local auditorium that is sheathed in dried corn cobs to create murals all around the building. Changed annually.

Redwood Forest, CA

San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA
Nuff Said.

Venice Beach, CA

Chainsaw jugglers, roller blading guitar players, body builders, cheap sunglasses and bags. Very cool.

Las Vegas ,NV
The lights, the buffets, the craziness.

Seattle, WA
The Space Needle, Monorail, waterfront, ferries, homeless, meth addicts and junkies, parks, close proximity to other cool places.

Palm Springs, CA
Aireal Tramway.

Victoria BC
Quaint, great waterfront.

Vancouver, BC
The Skytrain, the nightlife, the waterfront, the "coffee houses" where you can buy and smoke weed.

So many more...

Thanks for asking that question.
It made remember so many cool things, places and friends.

Learning wise it probably was Washington DC because there were so many historical things to see and mueums and monuments to visit. Beauty wise probably Smokey Mountain National Park and finding a small waterfall on a remote peaceful trail. Butterflies actually were landing on me while I sat and admired it. Talk about being a part of nature. Most interesting was the Museum of Funeral Customs in Springfield Ill. Very unusual to see how things have changed over the years.

I live in Chicago, and I'm amazed (well, not too amazed) to hear how many people who aren't from here love it. It is an awesome city.

Of the places I've been to, my favorites were the Badlands, driving down Pacific Coastal Highway in California, and the Mojave desert. Also, the people in Las Vegas are awesome.

The most interesting place i've ever been to was MonteCarlo, a little country next to France. There are castles everywhere, there's a prince that governs, and the sightseeing, ooh my God, u just have to see to believe it, and the best, is probably all those rich people and their magnificent boats!!
