Any ideas for a single (straight) guy in his 40's to spend a wekend in SE Asia during a business trip? Places to stay, things to do, "nightlife," etc. I've heard there are beautiful resort areas, but want to hear from someone that's been there!

im thinking about flying to manila and possibly tour around luzon and maybe down to cebu in 2-3 weeks.(in the future) when is it a good time to avoid the high prices and tourists there?

A group of my friends are coming down to Singapore to stay.
Pls advise which is the accomodation (not the red light area thou)

I will be travelling to Thailand in Feb and want a nice romantic place to take my girlfriend. Not too quiet or too busy. We stayed in really nice bungalowson the beach last year on the East coast so something similar would be great.
