Yes. This must be due to the melanin that is concentrated in our inguinal ares. Even if you fair skin, you still have dark areas.

yes. it's normal. most women who bleaches their skin end up have dark parts. sometimes they only take care of what's being seen all the time by the naked eye and the public. so when their skin lightens up, the hidden skin remains in its natural color.
another reason too, is that most filipinos who lives in the philippines, perspire a lot due to tropical weather. and when you wear fiiting clothes, you'll have dark singits.

it is not only in filipinos that such area is dark and i am sorry to say that your question is a bit not nice. darkening of that area is not native to Filipinos nor it is native to any race. one very good reason why that particular area can go dark is when it is subjected to constant friction (i.e. if your thighs rub together when you walk). and yeah, i know a caucasian whose singit is dark.

Not only Filipinos but people of brown races like Malaysians, Thais, Vietnamese, Indonesians.
Same goes with the black race.

it's in the genes. we're brown-skinned remember. though many filipinos have interbred with other races, so not all have dark pubic areas. really, i don't think it matters.
