my son and his friend goes to rome every thanksgiving for the last 4 years.....they LOVE it! the italian people are so so nice.
rome is soooooooooo beautiful! the architecture and the culture is super!
also, don't let anyone tease you about saying Roma. what do they know about european or world travel....probably never been out of the country or their little town before.
when i was in italy, i had to say venizia (venice), milano (milan), mantova and so forth and so on.....so what you are doing is preparing to go to roma and practising the way they are really pronounced when you get there. you will sound like a native italian!

I've been to rumah tumpangan Roma near KL. Nice kopitiam down there. Not sure why those sexy girls have very good command in Mandarin and know no cantonese and hokkien. Maybe they are very educated.

Sarah, Roma also can say, italian word for rome, fyi. venizia is venice, firenze is florence, napoli is naples, torino is turin, milano is milan. but pasta is pasta, pizza is pizza
