My family is considering planning a trip to Japan, and while my dad says the best time to go is early Summer, I say it's Spring. What is the best time, in terms of weather, goings-on, traffic, and the like?

Also, are there any general tips anyone could give about going? Thanks!

Hi,

It is clear to me China is an amazing place and teaching in China for 6 to 12 months would be unforgettable experience, and possibly life altering (for the better, of course). I have read a lot about 30 somethings or older going to China to teach English -- but what about 20 somethings fresh out of college or grad school? For a 20 something who has taught in China, what do you wish you knew before going, both for worse and for better?

Thank you so much!!

Dave

Our daughter is coming to the United States and we do not know when she will return to PI, so we need a one way ticket from Manila to the US and then to Reno, Nevada. We fly Philippine Airlines but they said they don't have tickets originating in Manila

I need to send a letter to an address in the Philippines, but I'm not sure how to format it. I mean, I don't know what info belongs on what line when it comes to writing the address with the zip code, barangay, city, etc.... Here's the basics of the address I'm trying to format: ** ****** Street, Ibayo II, Bagbag Novaliches, Quezon City, 1116. I'm confused about the order of how to write it and what info belongs where. I think "Ibayo II" is a subdivision but I'm not sure. "Bagbag Novaliches" is the barangay. and it is "Quezon City" in Manila.
If someone could please show me how to write this address properly the way it should appear on the letter, it would do me a great favor :) Thanks/Salamat po

I know how there seems to be a barrier between Asian men and Black women, even here in America. I'm also aware of how many Asians don't like black people. So I'm curious to know what would a black female's chances be in China to get a Chinese boyfriend or any Asian boyfriend for that matter. If she approached a Chinese male and attempted to start a conversation, would she be snubbed? Would anyone approach her?

So I'm making a trek through Asia from mid-April to the end of June. Originally I was planning to start in Japan, but now I'm thinking of finishing there. Why? Simply for packing/wardrobe reasons. If I go in mid-April, I'll have to wear shoes and socks, and long sleeves (for at least the evenings). If I went the last week of June, I would just need the clothing I'll be wearing for the rest of my trip (sandals, light pants, shorts, etc). Therefore, i'll have to pack more stuff if I go in april.

So, my question: I know April is supposed to be a great time to visit to Japan due to the cherry blossoms, pleasant weather, and all, but is it significantly better than the end of June?
