I have worked in the hospitality business in various Asian countries and I would like to stress the point that you will need an employment visa even as a rep. The only time that you might be able to avoid it is if you are like a group leader and only stay in that country for a week at a time.

It has absolutely no difference if you are employed by a British, American or Australian travel company as you will not be working in those countries but in the Asian country where you would be stationed. You will still be required to pay insurance, tax etc just as the locals. Many expats however negotiate on this in the employment contract and conditions so that the employer would pay these costs for the employee.

I thought being a holiday rep your visa will be categorized as working visa, in that case you dont need another visa to work as you already have one. If you are going to USA, there may be jobs available for you either legally or illegally depending what type of job you are looking for. GOODLUCK

It depends what country you'll be working in and who you're employed by. As someone else has said, you'll probably be ok if you're employed by a UK-based company, but it'll probably be different if you're employed locally. Definitely check it out with the embassy or high commission of the country you're going to work in... though I'd have thought the company employing you would be able to give you advice on this.

That is why it is called a working visa but call the consulate of the country that you are travelling to and find out their immigration requirements. Have a happy New Year.

No you do not need a visa to be a holiday rep, as you will be employed by a UK company and you will be paid in the UK (ie. the money from the UK company goes to yoru Uk bank account) [but you do get local resort allowance - cash in hand.

visa is needed to go back and forth to work yes.. passport one time visit not to work get the visa
