I'm planning to visit both Sweden and Norway early next year and I'm wondering, for all of you who have been there, what is it like? Is there anything in particular that I should know? Thanks!

I just relocated to Dunedin and wonder if there are any websites, or places to find others who may have moved here from Minneapolis, or Minnesota in general?

We have two weeks in England/Scotland in February. We will be spending one week at work at Spadeadams base on the border between Scotland and England. From there we will have 1 week Fri-Fri to tour the UK.

What do you think? Should I spend a few days in Scotland and go to London? Split the time between just Scotland and Ireland? What are your suggestions as far as what to do? As it will be February, many of the "tourist" things won't be open. I'm going to buy Lonely Planet guide from some more suggestions as to what is *MUST SEE* in the UK.

I'll take all the suggestions you can give. What would you do, put on the border, and then you have one week to sight see?

I mean, obviously I'm a traveller. I'm going to Melbourne for a week (suss it out, thinking of moving there). I live in Brisbane (have my whole life).

SO, Is that wierd? Do people do that? Am I allowed to do that or when I arrive will they be like " err, you're quite clearly not a backpacker ".

I will traveling there between Xmas and New years with my 9 year old grandson (it's his Xmas present), and looking for some fun things with him and some good places to dine. Is there anything to do with trains or toy trains? We will be coming there from Chicago by Amtrak. What is a good mode of transportation? we will only be there 2 days and will only be downtown. Thanks.

I know it's a timeshare presentation, and they don't provide transportation, but do you really get a free stay at a hotel and two tickets to a Vegas show, just for sitting through a two-hour presentation?

There has to be some other catch, no?

Although you still have to pay for your food, transportation, and everything else, right?

Well, I am moving to Vancouver soon and am considering living in the downtown eastside. I know that there is alot of junkies and prostitutes there but that doesn't bother me. I know its alot cheaper to live there compared to other places in Vancouver so I'm wondering exactly how dangerous is it? I have heard mixed opinions, some people say as long as you mind your own business you will be fine, and other people tell me to avoid that area at all costs. Whats the real deal with the downtown eastside area?

No one really believes they are 'researching' when they harpoon whales and drag them onto boats, then take them back to the Tokyo markets for soup.

Are travellers cheques accepted as currency in Australia like they are in the US? Or do you have to change them into cash (of course, I do mean Australian Dollar Travellers Cheques)?

Yesterday my heating was off. In all of the Korean's room, the heaters are on. Is this just me, or do you all have the same problem? Does anyone have a good strategy of making a formal complaint, so that it may be turned back on? They said they don't know when it will be turned back on, it could be months. I have human rights. Are these people mental?
