Some people just amaze / confuse me because one moment they are so happy and fun to be with then later, they will withdraw within themselves, get quiet & reserved, even at some points become moody, brooding and temperamental... What gives?

My husband and I want to move with our children out of this god forsaken crap of a country we call the U.S.A. We really want to move to Australia but we don't know where a good place to live in Australia would be. We are not city people but don't want to be too far away from stores, restaurants, and movie theaters, we have two school age children, we like nice warm weather, and we both need to work. We don't know much about Australia except for what we have read. If anyone could give me some good info that would be really great! :)

My sister is getting married there on December 15th, so we will be there for the weekend. We want something fun to do, both for 21+ and younger (no less then 15 years).

So what are some good places? Like restaurants, shows, etc. Are there any good types of shows going on then? We are already planning on going to Circus Circus, but other then that we are really lost.

Thanks for any and all suggestions :]

I hope to study abroad for my senior year of high school (next year) and am trying to narrow down where I want to go. I have it narrowed down to Switzerland, Sweden, and Norway. Can all you travel aficionados tell me what the pros and cons are for each? I am hoping to stay in a more rural or suburban earea that is very family oriented, but the outdoors activities are my biggest concern. Thank you very much!!

My family and I are going to Colorado next month, and we have Vail as a place we want to visit for a day. We don't want to ski. We just want to have fun in the snow and get a nice view of the mountains. Are lift tickets necessary to enter Vail? How do they work?

This is a question from my mother! She's really into poker and loves to go to tournaments, and she'd like to plan a trip to California to play poker and stay in a nice hotel (she's into hotels, too!). She'd like a place where she could go to various tournaments in a weekend, so she's wondering if there's some particular city or area where there'd be a lot going on closeby. She'd also like to find a nice hotel with an indoor pool (since she's hoping to go this winter). Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated!! Thank you! :)

I've been offered to take part in an exchange program in Canada, more specifically in Quebec, I still don't know if I'll be sent to Quebec city or Montreal, those are the options.
Transportation there and housing are provided but I have to afford living there. What I'd like to know is how much money I would have to take with me in order to live decently. I would be staying there for a month. By the way, what is the equivalent for an American dollar there? I know you use Canadian dollars but I don't know how much they're worth in relation to an American dollar.
And last but not least, I'm going in February and my friends say it's extremely cold and that one can't be out in the streets much. Is it true? Any recommendations you may give me are welcome: tips, places to visit, things to avoid, anything.
Oh, I don't speak French will that really be a problem? I'm supposed to teach English to young Francophone children as part of the program, I will be aided though.
Thanks!!!!
