My sister is getting married there on December 15th, so we will be there for the weekend. We want something fun to do, both for 21+ and younger (no less then 15 years).

So what are some good places? Like restaurants, shows, etc. Are there any good types of shows going on then? We are already planning on going to Circus Circus, but other then that we are really lost.

Thanks for any and all suggestions :]

Gamble. Just like in Las Vegas.
Shows. Not as many as in Las Vegas or as good.

Assuming you do not want to do the same stuff you can do anywhere else.....

Drive around Lake Tahoe. Use a four wheel drive SUV with snow tires. Great views and some nice secluded places to go. Bring a blanket and sleeping bag and have some fun.

Drive up to Pyramid Lake. Do this after visiting Lake Tahoe. The differences in the two landscapes and lakes is amazing.

Go to Virginia City and ride the steam train. You will learn that steam trains are not like what you see in the westerns.

Go east on I80 to the Patrick exit and visit the Mustang Ranch Museum and see a real legal brothel. Have a drink at their bar. You will feel real "sinful" for having done it.

Go skiing. There are tons of ski places near Reno. If you are beginners, try Tahoe Donner. If you are really good, try Heavenly or Squaw Valley.

Reno does have museums and art galleries but you can see those anywhere.

There's a show at the Eldorado similar to Cirque du Soleil...I think it's about $40 a head (not sure).
A great place for a surprisingly wonderful breakfast in the wee hours is RailCity Casino. It's a tiny Casino near Sparks, right off the freeway...they always have specials on their meals but the breakfast there is beyond awesome for $2.95...Their cook is talented !
There's the chocolate factory on the outskirts.
There's also the Old Mining Places you can tour.
The Ski Resorts...
And if you rent a vehicle and drive 45 minutes or so...you'll be in one of my favorite places...Tahoe !
Plenty to do there!!!

you guys can always go to the ski resort. There are probably shows going on at that time and hotels near by might have some stuff to watch too.
