3. What is the currency value, and the economic situation?

4. What will you do if you run out of money? Is there an American Embassy, and where is it located?

5. What kind of food will you eat? What is the main dish?

6. What will you do while you are there? Are there tours, nightclubs, beaches, fairs, churches, buses, taxis? What dangers might you face?

7. Along the lines of danger, what are the two major social issues facing the country—AIDS, poverty, disease (do you need malaria shots?), viruses, pollution, crime, dangerous animals, shortness of oxygen?

8. What is the country’s political situation? Is the country politically stable, and what will its political situation mean to you, as an American?

We are going to The Price is Right game/show in Las Vegas. We already have tickets (or will be picking them up at willcall). How early do we need to be there?

Some people report getting there 2 hours early and that seems a bit "over done" to me?

Thoughts?

Thanks,

I don't really know any of the details of either trip (it is an incintive trip with my hubby's job) I just want some opinions from people who have gone to either place. What is there to do? Which is cheaper when you get there? Thanks everyone!!!

I'm leaving tonight for New York...I will only be there for the weekend. What are some great things to do with limited time.

I'm mostly interested in art museums, but are any open during the weekend? I don't care for the touristy stuff like the Statue of Liberty or Empire State Building, Ground Zero is too heartbreaking and the Broadway shows I would have liked to have seen are on strike.

I'm sure the possibilities are endless....any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I currently live in St. Louis and was planning to move to Dallas, when I was shocked to find that houses there do not have basements. So it made me wonder how many other cities have houses with no basements.

What with the kid who had the "heart attack" in Nagoya, match fixing allegations, the guy who skipped out on the exhibition tournament with a fake injury, Akebono's lame post-sumo career, etc. etc. is sumo going down the tubes? Or has sumo always been rigged, always had brutal bullying, always had guys who fake injuries, etc. , but now we just hear about it because of the internet, weekly magazines, etc. In any case, I don't blame kids for passing on a grand sumo career.

My son leaves Ireland tomorrow Sat 17th Nov to fly to San Diego. He has rented a car to drive to Seattle - everything appears to be arranged. But I want to check he has adequate car insurance that is needed/required? He is over 25 years and has normal Travel Insurance.

I am interested in getting a glimpse of India as I only have 2 weeks to travel this January. I am interested in seeing the life there and also would like to visit some temples. I few days by water might be nice too. Any itinerary and accommodation suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for clean, safe, budget accommodations.

I grew up in California and I can't stand it there. I'm not too keen on Virginia (where I live now). I want to live somewhere where I can look out my window and not see any people. I want to actually be able to own LAND. I want to own a couple horses. I want to feel at peace and I want people to stay out of my way so I can focus on my family, my home, and my animals. Where in the country do you think is worth visiting so I can start deciding where I want to live once my husband gets out of the Navy?
