Fordham is a big area. If you are talking from Fordham Unversity (the Fordham Road gate..NOT the Southern Blvd. gate) or where the Metro-North station is, you can actually walk it uphill (if you go past a White Castle, you went the wrong way).

But if you are intimidated with the HUGE crowds going up and down, you can take the BX12 bus (make sure the readout says 207th Street). Otherwise, the "D" train at the Fordham Road station will drop you off RIGHT THERE in the heart of it since the line runs right under the Grand Concourse! :)

take the metro north...easiest!!
