I am planning on moving to Santa Rosa and I just wanted to know what areas i should avoid-i.e. where are the 'ghettos' or 'bad neighborhoods' at? Please let me know what info. you have on the areas and also if you know of any Goood Places in santa rosa that'd be nice (i'm coming from florida so people who actually live in this area would be nice to get answers from)

So im planning on moving to Portland, Oregon in about 8 months (yeah i know it's WAY early to start planning but,,,) And well let's just say that i'm very clueless on the process. I've done my share of moving within the same town and i'm iffy about how to come about moving 7 hours away from here! Not sure where to start. Like when to look for an apartment? Or should i stay at a hotel there and then start looking for a place? All i know is that i dont have alot of cash to be going back & forth to find a nice place to live! so any advice? Here is a complicated situation. My family (6 of us) are landing at Heathrow from the U.S. on October 31. We are traveling to Whitstable immediately. I found a very reasonable rate on a minivan through Enterprise, at their Arch 59 Tower Bridge Street location. It ends up being around $200.00 cheaper than directly out of Heathrow. None of us have ever been to the U.K., and we are a little nervous about the driving situation. Now the question is, how do the 6 of us, and our luggage, travel to this rental location? I have checked into the Travelcard, and it seems the most reasonable to purchase six one day tickets, then on return (Nov. 7) purchase another six tickets. So, using theTravelcard, could I get detailed information on exactly how to get there?(which tube, bus, or rail) Thank you in advance.

I am planning to stay in Bangkok (or Bangkok area) from 1st February, 2008 till 27th May, 2008.

I have been researching and looking around for a while, but there is SO much information, and it differs a lot. So I decided to ask you guys here.

My goal is to find the cheapest option for my plan:

- Live 3 months in Bangkok (or the area);
- Access to the Internet;
- To be sure that my stuff won`t get stolen from my home;
- A gym fairly close;
- Not-complicated access to the city center.

That`s all I need. Maybe someone of you will know the particular place?! What type of accomodation I should look for (maybe apartment)?

And...

- As I`ve heard that in Bangkok there are available very high quality formal suits for real bargain prices, where should I look for such a place?

How many days would it take me to visit most points of interest and most beaches between these 2 cities? Im planning a surfing/sight seeing trip next summer. Ill have one week vacation time.
