I was from Longbridge, ( Coombes Lane ) I now live in Cornwall, but came up for a visit last week, we walked our dog in Cofton Park, and had a stroll up the Lickeys. It all looks very strange without the Longbridge works, where I worked for many years, but I look forward to seeing the re-developement of the area, and it can only improve the area. I was glad to see a lot of those awful flats near the Rubery island had been demolished too, and nicer looking housing in their place, but the estate on the right hand side, as you go towards the Lickey's is still rough looking. But Birmingham is improving all the time, and not a bad city, on the whole. I still miss it sometimes.
