I'm going to be flying to New York then travelling west. I'll be over there for 4-8 weeks and i'm going with one friend.

You will save yourself a lot of money if you join the AAA thats the Auto Club of America. The card gives you discounts at just about everywhere. They will give you free maps and plan your route for you. They know all the cool things to see and can actually do a cost analysis for you. free towing if you break down and Peace of mind while you are out there. I don't work for them I am just a happy customer. They really will make your trip easier, safer and cheaper.

find your milage of travel current gas rates over here are about at two dollars and ninety cents per gallon of gas. you can eat for about five to ten dollars per person in diners or restaurants. hotels around 85 to one hundred dollars per night. motels about 50 to sixty dollars. camping about 15 dollars per night. laundry two dollars per load plus one dollar to dry at laundry mats. bathrooms available in most restaurants and some gas stations.the water pretty good everywhere but bottled water available everywhere.
