Has anyone ever used the 'Nothing to declare' aisle in an airport? What exactly does it mean? What can you get through if only you declare it? I am Not a terrorist. I was thinking along the lines of Cigarettes. If you are allowed to bring home 16 cartons of cigs and you bring 20 cartons, can you get them through if you declare them.

I'm a single mom and will be taking the 4 day Mexico cruise this fall. My little girl will probably be in the kids' club a lot.

I'm in Las Vegas now, so I'm really not interested in gambling or drinking/nightclubs/bars.

What is there for me to do? I'm really looking for a good spot to read, I think they have a library? Has anyone visited it who can tell me if they have lots of good books? And I know about the rock climbing and yoga classes - I'll be doing those! :)
I'm also curious about in room movie rental... do they do that? Do you know what cable channels their ships get? Ordering room service and watching TV seem heavenly to me, I know it seems ridiculous to some.

One more thing, a lot of the excursions I'm interested in don't allow my daughter to join yet (she's 10.) If I chose to just hang out on the ship while it was at the different ports, do they still have activities onboard? Do you know if they just allow you to get a towel and hang out on the beach?

I'm taking 3 days --August 31st (my birthday) from Dallas and coming back Sept. 3rd (Labor Day)...I'm kind of limited on time so I was wondering where would be some good place to visit while I'm there. Also, I wanted to stick to a budget of $500 and that's including gas, hotels, food, site-seeing. I've never been to san Antonio before so if anyone knows any good tourist spots out there, whether it be on the way from Dallas to SA...Let me know

Oh and since it is my 21st birthday (yes, I know I'm young) I wanted to stop by Austin's 6th st. and take a tour of the capital

So I want a friend to come visit me, he's in LA and I'm in Monterey. I'm trying to find the cheapest way for him to get here- all the flights I find are around $1300-$750 which is absurd. Am I missing something? It's a really short flight, so why is it so expensive?
Are there any trains or buses or anything? I know gas isn't going to be cheap for driving here.

if you are departing for a southern cruise, san juan is the common port. I've read in some internet blogs that if you leave from san jaun most of the passengers will be puerto rican and that you will find it uncomfortable because spanish will be common umong passengers and if you are not spanish. is this true? or is there still a multi-race group of passengers?
