Outside of all the wonderful attractions in Atlanta......Mountains 1 hour north, Lake Lanier 40 minutes north, Ocean beaches 4 hours east, the Plains an hour or 2 south. Swamps 4 hours south. Never bored....always something to see or do that's not too far away!!

The Westin Peachtree Hotel is in the middle of this pic http://www.atlantaphotos.com/images/images_big/Skyline-Marietta.jpg ...the tall cylinder shaped building. On the top floor is the Sundial restaurant...the restaurant spins slowly in a circle so you can see the whole city while you have dinner.

Turner Field (Braves baseball), the Georgia Dome (Falcons Football), the Martin Luther King Center and surrounding sites, Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, Phillips Arena (Hawks Basketball, Thrashers Hockey), the CNN Center, Piedmont Park, the Coca Cola Museum, Underground Atlanta, Georgia State University, Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Zoo, the High Museum of Art and the Woodruff Art's Center,.......I'm sure there are other things...explore http://www.atlantaphotos.com/ and you may see other things...
Oh, don't forget the Fox Theater and Oakland Cemetery...and the Carter Center ...that's a big one...oh and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens...that's a great place

and Georgia Tech and The Varsity

and the big city symbol...the Phoenix

I personally love the Atlanta History Center.

Now if you are talking further outside the downtown area...there is a whole other list...Stone Mountain, and of course Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the busiest passenger airport in the world....

Great restaurants, shopping, neighborhoods....Downtown Decatur, Little Five Points, Peachtree Center, Buckhead...too many to name

It's the best, and not to far from mountains, lakes, beaches on the east coast.

The job market is very good, the weather is good (low risk for natural disasters or extreme weather) unless you really need snow in the winter, people from other states always comment on all the trees, flowers, and other greenery.

The ATL is the place....hope to see you here.
