I'm thinking about driving up to Canada some time next year after I finish college. But I also want to see New Zealand too. It's hard for me to decide where I want to go since It's so hard to get any vacation time esp. as I get older. I live in Los Angeles. I would like to drive to all the Major Canadian provinces including Quebec, Ontario, BC, Sask, Manit, New Brun, Prince Edward Island, and so fourth. I do love road trips.

On the other hand I want to fly to Auckland. Rent a Holden Commodore and drive around Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Duniden, North End, etc. I want to take one of those scenic train rides in New Zealand.

I just can't decide where I should go first. I wish I could see both but I just don't have the time.

Which Country should I visit? Which one has the best foods? Which one is prettier to tour?

What would you recommend?

We're both Elvis fans but this is not in our direct path and would take up quite a bit of time for us to do this. Is it worth it to go out of our way to do this? We're leaning towards yes but wonder if it's just another tourist trap. Opnions?

With all the western corporations coming to China and all of the economic growth, can China maintain its unique culture? In 50 years will rural Chinese still live without electricity farming as they did hundreds of years ago? Will the quaint Chinese architected towns still remain? Or will Chinese culture fall to skyscrapers and McDonalds?

Are there any places that have cheap first/business class tickets? Also, what are good methods for cheap upgrades? Is it true that you can buy miles from a travel agency?

I know I'm going ot be bored as heck. I've been on a several planes, probably 12 different ones but the farthest distance I've traveled was to Punta Cana, D.R. This time i'm going to be going to Spain and that'll take around 8 hours (plus an extra 2 to bus down to the airport) What the heck should I do for half of the day?

I gather this impression from the sheer number of online magazines, websites featuring business and technical content and other news stories emerging from China. Xinhua, Shanghai Daily, China Business Review, People.com.cn all have English subscriptions.

While 4-5 year back there was practically none of this available, it seems no longer the case - a lot of information about China is now available in English making it easier for foreigners.

On a comparative scale, I found the English websites from China to be more in numbers and quality strength compared to many other non-English countries - comparable to Russia, Germany and Scandinavian countries and better than Italy, France or Brazil which tend to have more content in their local languages.

Also it shows in Wikipedia that most youngsters in Shanghai are comfortable in English as it is now compulsarily taught in middle school - does that mean a high level of "street fluency"?

I guess I'm impressed there's way to go !

My friend and I are thinking about going to Cozumel in August? I am nervous about hurricanes. Has anyone been in August before? Am I overreacting? It looks beautiful but am very nervous since it's hurricane season. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I live in SC. I went to visit my brother earlier this week and they are so impatient in traffic! In three minutes, they blew there horns more than I will blow mine in a year. I will be going back the week of the fourth, maybe I'll get used to it soon.
