Sistine chapel is really amazing. The paintings are so vivid and have such depth that you get a chill on the back of your neck from feeling someone watching you. From a short distance the paintings actually look like statues. they stand out from the wall. What a really amazing artist. and remember. there are many other things to see at the Vatican. It is one of the largest treasure troves in the world. It really brings out the pirate in me. I would love to loot the place and bring home the treasure. Just room after room of priceless paintings, armor, challis's, jewelry, crowns, weapons,..... you get the picture. Rome is a kick as well. give it a shot. you won't regret it.

It really depends on how much you like Shakespeare. Being an English teacher who adores Shakespeare, Stratford was pretty special to me. It's a really beautiful town with LOADS to see and do and for someone who is really into Shakespeare, it's a must-see. However, if you're not really much of a Shakespeare fan, you might not appreciate it/enjoy it as much.

The Sistine Chapel, on the other hand, had a broader appeal, I would argue, and also has the advantage of being near one of the most beautiful, intriguing cities I have ever visited: Rome. Vatican city is fabulous, and has a real sense of history unlike any other place I've visited. When I went with my mom, who is quite religious, she felt that the whole place was very holy and spiritual.

So I guess what I'm saying is, decide what your interests are first, then base your decision on that!
