Can anyone inform me of towns or villages in the world with an old-fashioned feel? Places with a familiar charm, friendly people, more manual ways, a lifestyle that is reminiscent of times without the same technology we have today, kids playing outdoors, etc.

I want to go somewhere hot and sunny this summer. I do not plan on gambling, just sight seeing and hanging out by a pool. LV is a days drive away and I hear its pretty cheap there.

um.. i might have to travel to the states (chicago) for work... I would more likely have to fly to get there.. my question to you is..
i like to smoke pot.. its relaxing.. i'm canadian..
what are my best ways of bringing some down with me for my own personal use?? i'm not talking about pounds or anything about 5 joints.. one a day while i'm gone.. can i just maybe stick them in with some cigarettes? ??

and by not putting inside myself either.. i'd rather do without

From what I know Australia is a fictional land where people drink beer constantly, talk funny, and where kangaroos roam everywhere. Australia must be fictional, everyone knows that kangaroos come from Asia.

where is the best place to go abroad in the Carribean? I will be 16. I need to know which place is the most fun and has the best high schools, and nicest people and I will probably end up in a regular town so where do you think?

A group of my friends and I are hoping to stay in a youth hostel (YHA preferably) after our GCSEs. Are same sex groups, who are all under 18, allowed to stay without an adult? If so, does this apply for the tipi's and camping facilities some of the YHA sites have?
If this is allowed can we book our own private room or are the private rooms only for families?
Many thanks!
