I've been on two cruises, both on Carnival and they were absolutely fantastic! Everything about is was great! The staff, the room, the food, activities, price. I've got another one planned for the Mexican Riveria in May! You can't beat it. There is no way you could go to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan Mexico on a full week vacation and only spend $929.00 for all of your travel, beach front accomodations...with balcony, food and activites. Only if you cruise! The best part, is you only unpack once! $132.00 per day for all you can eat, accomodations and activites. It's steal!

I think the only way you could possibly have a awful time is if you got sea sick. That is avoidable by doing many different things before you even get on the ship. I took no chances when I went. I started taking ginger capsules a day before I boarded the ship and 2 every day on the ship. Never had a hint of sea sickness. A cruise has been the best vacation we have ever taken. Anyone I know that has been cruising say the same thing.
Princess Sapphire is a great ship, never run out of entertainment.

Cruises are the best vacation for fun, experience and value. I worked as a travel advisor focused on cruise guests. The few people that I met that had a bad experience on a cruise were misplaced. There are so many cruise lines from which to choose. It is important to understand the profile of the person traveling and their expectations. For example, if someone wanted a sedate, quiet cruise - interests of history, card playing etc...I would recommend a line like Holland America or Cunard. If someone wanted a lot of choices for entertainment, adventure, night clubs - but not a free for all -- I would recommend Royal Caribbean.

I have been on two cruises. The destinations completely different (Alaska and Carribbean) but both AMAZING! But, the ships were completely different as well.
The carribean one I went on the Grand Princess and it was amazing! The food was great, people were nice, I even made a friend that I still talk to.
But the Alaskan Cruise ship (Veendam on Holland America owned by Carnival) was horrible. I was LIED to, given a stained blanet, broken plates, messed up our reservations (5 times), charged us for more than we used, etc. The food was eeh, and the portions small.
Anyways...hope that helps!

My mother in law has gone to many and she loves them because every night they have entertainment. She says that cruises are a lot of fun. I wish I can go to one next year. I have heard that cruises to Alaska during summer are wonderful.

We take four cruises a year. We have had bad experiences with Princess - Norovirus and confined to cabin, so we never got to see anything; Carnival - bed was up against hall wall and crew passed through passage all hours of day and night; Royal Caribbean - excellent service, trip, itinerary; Celebrity - excellent service, trips., etc. QE2, luxury beyond imagination.
