Is the Del Mar / San Diego area of California nice or ghetto?

I am staying at the Double Tree in Del Mar which I guess is near La Jolly, CA in march, is that a nice area or is it ghetto?

What is there to do that is fun around there?

Any good beaches?

What are some fun things to do in San Diego?

Im taking my mom to San Diego for her birthday in late march. What are some fun things to do there? Im 20 she is turning 40, we arent really into zoo's or anything, but Im not sure what there is to do there.

Im thinking maybe a cruise around the ocean or something?

Is there any good shopping places and resturants around?

If your not from NY state or city, why do you think NY is a great place?

I have been to the city including, the bronxs, Brooklyn, Queens, and allthe other areas. There are only a few reasions to go there.
Shea
Madesion square garden
Macys Thanksgiving day Parade
and The ball (New years)

I live on the island in huntington and belive that new york city is a bunch of drunk drivers and dirty streets. Almost as dirty as NJ.

How do you rent a motorcycle in Spain?

I'm travelling to Spain in late April. I am wondering if it is possible to get a cheap motorcycle rental. What do I need for a license. And can it be taken to other countries. I was thinking of riding a motorcycle to Italy. Is this possible or do I have to buy.

Is it safe enough in Anchorage for a 31 year old single mom with 2 teenage girls to move to alone?
