I'm travelling to Spain in late April. I am wondering if it is possible to get a cheap motorcycle rental. What do I need for a license. And can it be taken to other countries. I was thinking of riding a motorcycle to Italy. Is this possible or do I have to buy.

Depending on where you are arriving... The easiest areas for cycle or bike rentals are the coastal areas. But you should be able to find this type of rentals in most large cities, You will evidently need your drivers license (including motorcyle license), it will be valid for a rental here. (You will need your passport also).

You can rent from many motorcycle shops. In the bigger cities there are plenty of options. When you get there, go to a motorcycle shop & if they don't rent ask them who does. You can rent with just a driver's license from anywhere in the world + your passport. Don't tell them where you're going, just drive on to Italy. I rented a little while ago in Sevilla and it was dirt cheap and they didn't ask any questions. Perfect!!

renting scooters.. no problemo. To rent a real motorcycle, I have not found a place yet that will rent one out.. and that is around Barcelona and the island of Mallorca
