How long would a flight from toronto to la take?

2006-12-17 11:57:30 · 5 answers · asked by Jessica 2 in Air Travel

okay, so its in Long Island in New York
the speed limit is 55mph but i drove at 70mph
now when i got the ticket, at the bottom, the part that says 'YOU ARE HEREBY DIRECTED TO APPEAR IN THE....' is filled out with the date and address.

HOWEVER, on another white paper that came with it, it says that i can mail in the money (and not go to court) if i do so BEFORE my court date...

and then on that same paper, it says you are not able to plea guilty by mail if you are ordered to appear by court.

So my question is, is the scribble on the ticket that tell me the date and address of my appearance, the official order?????

plus does 'court date' that was mention the one written on my ticket??

im from the philippines. i planned to visit dubai, UAE and ask my friend to sponsor for me. due to unforeseen circumstances i told my friend that i cant pursue the visit to the UAE. so i asked her to cancel my visa application never mind the payment. she told me she applied for the visa at al-masood travel. however, the cancellation was done there at the immigration and was not issued yet to al-masood travel. she told me i myt, be denied of a visit visa next time i applied for it coz the immigration can track that i have not pursued my application. i wanted to still go there when i finally have my schedule fixed. will that really happen to me?

Last time I traveled that way, (nearly 10 years ago) there were restrictions on transporting fruit (I had a bag of grapes for a snack that they wouldn't let me take across!). Now I'm moving to California and I want to know if I can bring my houseplants with me or if I should just leave them behind. Does anyone know for certain the laws regarding this?

Can some one offer suggestions how we could take a tour of the city or see something before we leave the next morning? Will be there 1/2/07.

I know that upon entry to the Philippines I will be granted a 21 day visa, prior to it's termination I know I can apply for an extention of 38 more days. I've also be told that I can get extentions in 2 month periods upto one year before having to leave. Since I don't know when I will leave, how is this arranged when I setup my fight into the country. Thanks for the help everyone. Very much appreciated!!!

I spent a day with a group of children from a mercy house in thailand. They were all quite young, around 8 or so. I had bought a sack of toys that i'd been collecting over the years and gave them out, and it seemed to make their day, but i felt i could've done more.

I dont want to donate money because then you become faceless and most of the time, that money doesnt go where it's needed, so i'd rather (like i did) go out and physically do something and interact.

I'm a bit of a computer geek, so it would be interesting to teach children how to use computers for more than games or to learn a skill or 3.

But with all the weirdo's going to thailand and abducting and abusing children of all ages, i'm guessing it must be difficult to do anything.

Any one have any ideas what i could do? I'm fed up with my life and would rather give my time to helping people instead of wasting it doing nothing!

I plan to take the earliest boat across Lake Geneva (having spend the previous night in Geneva), to Montreux, to visit the Cheateau de Chillion. Could anybody suggest where can I find the timetables and duration of the trip? I will buy a eurailpass so the ferry trip is supposedly free of charged.
If possible, has anybody taken the ferry ride before? Could you describe it please? I imagine this picturesque scene in my mind over and over again. Could we catch sight of the Alps on the lake?
