I am getting married in April and wanted to know if anyone has been to Dubai for their honeymoon. Are there honeymoon-apt things to do there (we dont want to shop)? Is end of April a good time to go there? Any recommendations/suggestions/feedback will be appreciated!

I should add that we are planning to go to a beach for our 'second half' of the honeymoon. So we are thinking of something different 'non-beachy' for the first half - like a fun city.

dubai is a great place to visit but not for a honeymoon, cuz all they have is shopping, and city life ull get bored quickly cuz its mostlly restauraunts and cinemas, and malls, nuthin else theyre culture touring is a lil boring, they just have great sites, but if ur looking for a great time and all of the above u should go to some island or something i always wanted to go to tahiti, bora bora, spain, italy, my husband even wants us to try maldives cuz its close by, so all these are great too, since i have not gotten my honeymoon yet, but i live here now and im already bored of dubai, and u should also remember dubai around april is gonna start to get humid, and maybe even hot so u dont want that either.

I would say yes it is a great place, I have been there twice before and I love it there. We stayed at the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa, a very nice place. We stayed in a junior suite. There are some nice apartments to rent as well but not on the beach as the resort is. I strongly suggest going to WIld Wadi Water Park, what a blast for all ages. Congrads on getting married!

I don't think Dubai would be a good spot. But that's just me. I would think Hawaii, England, Italy, The Bahama's would be good spots.
But if you really want to go to Dubai go here: http://www.dubai.com/
