Humid. Humid. Humid and hot.

Yes, the summer is hot and nasty - but the rest of the year is great. There are occasionally years when it does not freeze!

There are many good restaurants, museums, theatres, and malls. Also lots of street festivals - like the Houston International Festival - that's a couple of weeks ; or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

It's in a coastal plane - so it's really flat. Being really flat there are places that flood with every rainfall - and it can get a lot of rain.

One answer said it was "diverse" that's probably an understatement. There are large groups from many nationalities. European to the Americas, Asia, India and Africa.

Houston Texas natives are the friendliest, helpful people. The weather here tends to be humid which is good for your complexion. The City buildings make an awesome skyline view. Plenty of things to do. Wonderful Churches. We have joined Second Baptist on Woodway @ Voss. Plenty of low life places if that is your calling. The roadways are nice and constantly under construction. One thing about Houston, jobs are here and the cost of living is less then most large cities. San Antonio may be cheaper but the jobs not to good.Lots of Oil business here.
Well, I have either sold you on Houston or maybe not. I spoke from the heart and tried to be honest. I love it. God bless you and
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Pray for our Troops~~

A whole lot!!! Its like an adventure, like NY, even though I never been, Its a whole lot to get lost in here too. So far we are expanding, especially since the metro, but in some years later, and still is, its a consideration of good or great city that I would consider of living and visiting, but I live here and still not know much about it!

BIG, Major city and sometimes country. You'll find maily bars and clubs. It definitely gets hot and humid but it can have it's cold days too. Downtown is busy and there's some crime. I like it though

it's everything that everyone else said so you should come experience it. the city can be as fast paced as NY or LA, or it can be as laid back and slow as a small country town...all depends on how you approach it.

all in all, I love it...and even if I one day move away to work, I'll be back
