I am visiting London with my wife in a few weeks. Are there any parts of London that should be avoided? Thanks in advance.

I was planning a trip to Egypt, and Jordan in February. Im getting people telling me that right now is not the time to go since everything is going on in the mid-east right now. Also if anyone has been to either of these places and know of a good tour group to use for hotel and tours that information would be greatly appreciated as well. I would hate to get off the plane and not know where to start on my excursions. Thanks

What is the most suitable clothing for Taiwan at this time. I have children (10 and 5 years old) travelling with me too. I am not sure how cold it can be and what to prepare. Any suggestion?

Japanese Racism?
I would like to know how they treat Caucasians in Japan. I might consider moving there and would prefer if I got responses from people that actually live there. And no, I`m not those naive anime fans who believe Japan is the greatest in the world.

These answers are great but my question isn`t truly resolved yet. Another question, which part`s of Japan are much more welcoming or comfortable to live in? Rural or Urban areas? Examples please.

I forgot to mention that I`m still too young to move there on my own, and I`m looking for a foreign exchange program. Anybody know a cheap one? They are too expensive

what's the point, anyway? all cultures have their good and bad traits, and NONE of them are better than the other. it's pointless to have pride in your own race. no, it doesn't even matter if you're filipino, chinese, viet, mexican, or white, because none of them are superior to another. filipino media keeps blabbering about how great filipinos are ("ang galing ng pinoy", o kaya "waw amf panis kayo nadevelop namin yung fluorescent light amf")

don't get me started on japan's tecnological advances, got it? ok, shut up about the dumb fluorescent light idea.

but then, the japanese has some negative qualities in their culture too. you can't compare one over the other. it's like trying to figure out which is more important between a car wheel and a car engine.

NOT proud to be pinoy, not ashamed to be one either. we're all human...skin color doesn't matter, and I'd be annoyed if you keep flashing your color/pride/race on me.

Its gonna be for about 4days. We might stop by Stone Mountain for the adventure and we know about the "Forest Gump" park bench...we'll be sure to get a picture there! But its gonna be our second trip. Each year we (Grandma & the 4 grandkids) take a trip somewhere (not like Paris, we cannot afford that!) around the USA! & we dont want to fly because that takes the fun out of a "Road Trip." This year weve decided on Georgia. Savannah as a center focus. We imagine seeing these rolling hills, beautiful plantations, over-grown tree covered dirt roads and huge houses with wrap around porches with swings. Basically, everything you seen as Forest Gump's home. If you know of any places that would be memorable and a great photo shot, PLEASE TELL ME! The only thing I could find was adventure parks & stone mountain. thank you for taking the time to read this.....sincerely, Grandbaby

What's safer riding a air plane or riding a ship from a distance place?

Whenever a fire dept. EMT ambulance goes out on an emergency call, a fire truck goes too. What for? I read that 80% of fire truck trips are for medical emergencies, and only 20% for fires. What do the firefighters do on these medical trips? Stand around and watch? Isn't it a waste of time & money to send a fire truck along with the ambulance when someone has a medical emergency?

I am going foriegn exchange for a year next year, and I was thinking about where I want to go. I want to go somewhere with a good exchange rate, nice weather and a place where a 15/16 year old can have a good time, like nightlife or something. I Live in California so I was thinking I may want to learn Spanish, because i dont know if i will be able to apply portugese when i come home.but I hear Brazil is great. I also play the guitar, so somewhere with a great music scene would be a bonus, but mainly I just want to have fun. also, how are the schools in these countries? as far as hours you have to be there and such.
