Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station then take the underground to Oxford Street.

A cab would cost an absolute fortune.

From Gatwick airport take the London bound train which will take you to London Victoria. From Victoria, take the Victoria Line Underground to Oxford Circus. Oxford Circus Tube station is located at about the halfway point along Oxford Street at the junction with Regent Street.

Have a nice time in London.

Buy yourself a one day travel card - will be cheaper than the Gatwick Express and you have full use of the London network (all buses/All tubes). Head to the platform and catch any of the trains going to London Victoria.

Once in Victoria (about 40 minutes), walk to the underground (you can't miss it) and get the Victoria line. It's only two stops (Victoria -> Green Park -> Oxford Circus) to Oxford Circus and you be able to find your way from there easily.

Hope that helps!

Take the Gatwick Express train to London Victoria and then take the tube on the Victoria line 2 stops north to Oxford Circus.

Or take the northbound First Capital Connect service from Gatwick to London Bridge, then take the tube northbound on the Northern Line to Bank. Change to the Central Line and go 5 stops Westbound to Oxford Circus.

The first way is quicker but the second way is cheaper.

Who are these people who would get a cab from Gatwick to Oxford Street? Amazing! Are there really people who live like that?

Gatwick to Victoria - either Gatwick Express or normal line. The former is more expensive but more frequent and quicker - then Victoria line northbound to Oxforn Circus.

What time shall I meet you?
