Hi.
Did you mean age 5 of Korea, or America?
If you are age 5 in America, it means you are 6 in Korea.
Koreans count their age when they born.
When they born , they are already 1 year old .
OK.. This is based in Korean age.

Age 5 - 7 -Kindergarten(Doesn't required.3yrs)
Age 8 - 13 -Elementary School(6yrs)
Age 14 - 16 -Middle School(3yrs)
Age 16 - 18 -High School(3yrs)
Age 19 - -University.
University years depends on what course you take.

Hope it helped.

Korean education system is currently rated as number 1 in the world, according to many studies, including the one I've cited below. Keep in mind, though, that Koreans attend school from 730 in the morning until 10 at night five days a week, and half a day on Saturday.

There is currently no universaly accepted international ranking, but UNSECO is developing one.

Hope that helps.
