Check out the "Christmas House" in San Francisco on 21st street between Church and Sanchez Streets. It is always over the top wonderful. If you are in that neighborhood, there is another house on Castro Street near Duboce (across from Davies Hospital) that is always done up nicely.

If you're going to stay in San Francisco the houses in the upper Castro, the Sunset district and the upper Fillmore headed towards the Marina Greens is a good place. If you come across the bridge try Picardi Circle in Oakland located near Mills college. All of the houses in a four block radius are decorated and sometimes the families are even outside selling hot chocolate, cider and cookies for donations to pay the large PG&E bill the houses recieve. Picard is always featured on news channels this time of year because of the grand decorations. You can also go up to the Mormon Temple and check out their decorations and the view of the Bay Area
